Hello,

Great deal of information in this forum !!! But I couldn't find any question to similar to mine below. I appreciate any pointer or lead. Thanks.

How do I extract a list of filenames given a folder?  Or in general, how do I extract the information (such as name, title, creator/create dt, size, modifier/modified dt) about the files (documents) in a folder?

Is there a way to extract (or export) these information in a plain text format using UI ?  or is there a way to extract them programmatically  (by calling some API)?

Easiest way would be to write a javascript file and place it in 'Data Dictionary/Scripts'. Then you can run the 'execute a script' action on a folder using your script.

The script file would iterate over all children of the current folder, see whether the child node is a document or folder and act accordingly.

In the end you can write a file to 'Company Home' or something with the results.
