How to deal with dashboard configuration of a specific user

Hi,
I'm in charge of an administrator of our internal Alfresco.
One of my user have now a problem maybe because of his dashlet and he's not able to see his dashboard, although the authentication itself  seems to work well.

I want to configure the dashboard setting of the user as the admin and reset it. Where to look?
I know presets.xml but it would not be for a specific user.

Hello,

in Alfresco 4, the active configuration of user dashboards is contained in the Alfresco Repository under /app:company_home/st:sites/cm:surf-config and its sub-structures. You could reset the entire dashboard of the user by deleting the relevant page and component XML files. Or you could fix it by modifying them, if you have the necessary know-how. After you have done either, you need to clear the caches on the Share layer. The simplest way is through a Share restart (if you follow best practices for deployment, then Share is separate from Alfresco Repository, and this should only take you a couple of seconds).

I cannot find /app:company_home/st:sites/cm:surf-config in the repository browser and the node browser with the admin permission. Sites folder has only sites.

I found surf-config.xml in (tomcat installed folder)/webapps/share/WEB-INF/classes, but it seems a different thing because it describes mainly some *-context.xml file but not each user's setting.

How I look up /app:company_home/st:sites/cm:surf-config?

Hello,

you can't find the folder surf-config via the Share client since it is hidden by purpose in this view. Only using the Alfresco Explorer are you able to locate it (using the tree navigator on the left, not the browse view on the right).
