How to configure workflow etc in workdesk?

Hi,

I have successfully installed workdesk on my local machine using community 4.2 tomcat bundle as well as configuring it to use my local setup instead of cloud setup for workdesk.

Next i want to explore features such as workflow, retention scheduling, case management, clubbing files in a case etc. but i am not able to do anything here.

Can anybody help me to achieve the same? Is it a configuration or customization?

I assume you've installed Alfresco Enterprise 4.2 and downloaded Alfresco Workdesk 4.1.1 Trial, correct?

So if you have it connected against your own Alfresco Enterprise system, you can now start configuring your onw solution, which requires
  <li>appropriate data model
  <li>creation of users and groups
  <li>database and tables
and if you want also use workflow, then you need
  <li>workflow datamodel
  <li>BPMN model

You can refer to our documentation, especially the Workdesk configuration guide to get more information: http://documentation.alfresco.com

But what I would suggest you to use our Contract Management solution, based on Alfresco Workdesk. It's a ready-to-use solution which of course also comes with Case Management and Contract File Management and comes as installable package. This package already contains all required artifacts like data model, workflow models, forms, templates, etc. and you're not needed to configure from scratch.

Thanks a lot!

Now i have installed 4.2 Enterprise edition & also configured workdesk trial over it. Now i need following inputs:

1. Apart from csu user, i can see ptu user in video but not able to get password for him. Any idea about all usernames & passwords.
2. Trial workdesk is for 30 days only, connecting to alfresco cloud. Is there any way to replicate same environment on local machine?
3. Any more docs specific to how to handle an end-to-end case management scenario.

Hi,

I assume you mean user "pou". Password is "abs". If you login into Workdesk as user csu, you will find a tab in the top right called "Documentation". Within this tab you can find a scenario guide, which contains also the users for this scenario.
As said in former post, you have to setup the corresponding data model, database, etc. for this scenario in your local Alfresco system.
To avoid that I would recommend requesting Alfresco Workdesk Contract Management as it comes as easy installable package for your existing Alfresco system.
Especially the Contract Management solution shows a end-to-end case management scenario.
