Hello guys,
I was wondering if some can help me with this, because I'm new with Alfresco.
I'm using Alfresco Community 4.2.c and I want to change the shortname that appears in the site url link. Could you please tell me how can I do that?
Example:
- I currently have this url for one of my sites: https://domain/share/page/site/test1/dashboard
- But I want to change it to this one: https://domain/share/page/site/production/dashboard
Thanks,
Boris

I am 99% sure this is not supported. The safest bet would be to create a new site using the name you want, re-invite everyone to it, and then move all of your content over.
If that is not an option for you, you might be able to use the API to rename the site folder, but also notice that there are a bunch of groups that have been created for you using the site ID and those will have to be renamed as well. There might also be some Surf config files that exist that are keyed to the site ID. If there are, those would also have to be renamed. I'm not totally sure. If you go this route, you absolutely need to test it on a junk site before you try it on your good site.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
