How to apply a custom view template to a givendocument Type

I need to apply a custom view template, based on the type of the document. How it's done?

This way the user don't need to apply the custom view itself..

I'm also trying to figure this one out.  I thought there was a way to do this in the web-client-config-custom.xml but I cannot find any details on this

Hi,

You can create a template with Freemarker Template Language and apply to the document at the time you show it. For processing data with template you need to use Template Service of alfresco and have to parse template with the help of this service.
