How to Access file system using CIFS

i've just installed alfresco community v3.2 on my own labtop, and i managed to access the data through CIFS using address
' //{pcname}A ', but it seems that the data can't be accessed by other pc in the LAN using this address or my IP address.
(FTP seems to be able to do that)

so i wonder if there's any configuration i need to make to solve this problem, thanks a lot!

If you can access Alfresco through CIFS from localhost it seems to be up and running at least. Perhaps you have some firewall issues? You should check if port 139 and 445 are active on the server and you could also try to telnet them from your client.
