how many tenants

Hi,

I am using alfresco in a multi tenant environment. right now i have 50 tenants in my testing/QA environment. and there will be more.

And on startup the tenants are activated.

My question is how many teants i can create? for my application i will be creating more tenants say 500+ tenants

will there be a problem with such tenant number ? or upon increasing the memory & space it will be working fine

There are one or two issues with large numbers of tenants but  500 or 5000 is no problem.

Anything that iterates through all tenants has a problem with lots of tenants.
One such area is upgrade.  

5000 tenants should be fine which is 10x you expected number.   50,000 things may cause problems.   500,000 require re-design.
