How compare document versions without office plugin

Hi all,

How can i compare document versions without office plugin?

I can´t use the Office Plugin because my Cas Login Server don´t let authenticate to Alfresco.

Is there something that prevents you from downloading both versions of the document to your desktop and then comparing them?

That's pretty much what the Office add-in does anyway. We re-use Word's built-in document compare function, rather than trying to reinvent the wheel.
