I have read the info on the wiki on backup and restore but I need to figure out how to backup a large dataset every day. I need to backup a alf_data of at least 500GB every day. I can run another server as slave but how do I backup the alf_data.
Doing a full backup every night will just take to long and I cannot afford down time. How can I sync a master slave? At least if I have a master slave, I can run a backup from there. I would really appreciate any help.
OK so I can do incremental backups of the content store with rsync or something. The Wiki states that I should have my sql and content backups sync in one backup set.
Am I right in saying then that I basically just do a hot backup of mysql and then do a incremental backup of content once my mysql db is backed up?
Can you please tell me what's gonna happen while taking incremental daily backups, and some content in the repo is deleted since the last full backup? Restoring incremental backups will cause deleted files to appear again in contentstore, can this cause any kind of inconsistency to the repository?
And one more question: is definitively necessary to backup contentstore.deleted folder too for a correct restore of a repo?
hello… i am new to alfresco so might be my questions are too basic but still…. what is hot back up?what is the process? do i just need to copy paste it???? is it necessary to take the back up every day? in what situations it is necessary???? thanks….
