Hiding Logos and Disclaimer

We are currently using version 2.0 of the GPL release. However, as developers, we are aware of the possibility of certain groups of users that might ask "Why is the Alfresco logo and the disclaimer still there?" even though we have made some major customizations of the program to suit users needs.

Is there anyway to hide the logo and the disclaimer? I was informed that in rule to the GPL license conditions, removing those two is prohibited.

Please clarify on this and suggest a way to solve this problem. Thanks.

Enterprise customers have a different license and can make the kind of changes you suggest - community GPL users must leave the logo and disclaimer intact.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thanks for the word. But let's say if we work on the Enterprise version, how can we proceed on to making that disclaimer / logo disappear? Any JSP file that I can modify or do I have to change and modify web-client.jar?

BTW, is there any way that Alfresco can detect a GPL copy of the program violating the GPL rule like removing the disclaimer or etc?

Thanks again.

You are allowed to remove the logo if you use version 2.0 or later:
