hhow to improve the cifs drive performance

HI,

   I am facing big problem with alfresco CIFS drive.

    The people are doing the big transactions, i.e, saving the excel file taking 10 min time.. so i found in the log, their are some deadlocks also occur..

    I want to improve the performance..  Please provide the solution….
