Graphical 'flow interface' of related documents?

I think I already checked most of the resources but until now I was unable to find an answer to my question:

By default Alfresco offers to structure documents by site or within document libraries (tree style). Is there a way to structure the documents by a (graphical) workflow? It would be great if users could see a graphical representation of an (ISO) process and then they would just click on the step their responsible and the related documents would be displayed… Is that possible with Alfresco?! (or something similar?)

Yes it is possible. We've implemented something very similar for a client.

You will need to create a custom Yahoo UI component. See the wiki for details on extending Share. A large part of this would Yahoo UI development. Then will need add it to Alfresco Share.
