Where is defined in which which content the system will perform a fullsearch and in which content not?
Because I want to perform also a full search in mindmaps.

Till now I didn't programm anything, but I want the following:
when a user searches (in the usual search textbox), that alfresco also search in mindmap files. till now alfresco only searches in text/word/.. files.
I was wondering that this was defined somewhere or not?

Hi

Thanks. I was unsure if you meant searching categories…

This requires a convertor for extracting text from mindmaps so the content can be indexed. This is how word and pdf indexing works.

These convertors are pluggable and (I think) you can specify how to chain them together.

Do you know of anything that takes a mindmap file and can produce a format that we can map to text with existing convertors? Can you use an XML file format for mindmaps?  These would get indexed.

Mindmap files can be saved as xml files and can also be converted to word documents.

But is it possible to convert a mindmap file (.mmap) to an xml file within alfresco? Or is there another way then?

I also just find out, that you can unzip mindmap files.
You'll get an xml file with the data from the mindmap file where you can search in.

But now, can we in alfresco unzip files from a rule? or on a other way?

Hi

It sounds like you need a mindmap to xml transform that does the unzip.
There are some docs in the wiki that will help.
