Framemaker and Acrobat Integration in Alfresco

Hi,

Our technical documentation team is considering Alfresco for their new site but would like to know how Framemaker and Acrobat are supported? Is there plug-in to allow people to use those tools within Alfresco? Also, where can i find examples/references/best practices of how Alfresco is being used for the creation, management and publishing of this type of technical documentation?

Hi,
IMHO Framemaker and Acrobat support WebDAV and of course CIFS. So you can use an Alfresco repository as simple as a shared drive (http://www.alfresco.com/products/solutions/ecm/dm/Alfresco_Document_Management_0208.pdf).

If you'd like to do some more advanced stuff, e.g. working with meta-Data you can't automatically extract via Alfresco Meta Data Extraction Framework and Space-Rules Engine, you'll have to do some deeper coding.
