Formatting dates in Aikau

As more and more parts of Share have migrated into Aikau (a good thing) my prior method of "americanizing" dates no longer works.

I see that the TemporalUtils.properties file alfresco\core\i18n seems to hold the formatting rules for dates (I am hoping for all the widgets).

What is the preferred way to override these values? Assuming I am even on the right track.

What version of Aikau are you currently using? What widgets are you using to "americanize" date? Can you provide us some use cases with examples of what you want and what you're actually experiencing? Could you raise these as issues on either GitHub (https://github.com/Alfresco/Aikau/issues) or JIRA (https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/AKU-414?jql=project%20%3D%20AKU) so that we can address the problems you're encountering
