forge anon svn access not working

I wasn't able to access the forge svn without specifying a valid username/password (using TortoiseSVN, console client, Eclipse). Once I registered a username I was able to access svn without a problem.

Might it be that the svn server is wrongly configured?

I want to access it too, but none of the access method described is working.

Is there anyone looking at that issue? Or is anon access not allowed? The web page said it is though.
