I have imported some content using the great alfresco-bulk-filesystem-import tool (http://code.google.com/p/alfresco-bulk-filesystem-import), including metadata. The problem is that the imported content didn't generate their flash preview. I don't know whether this is an Alfresco related issue associated to content being imported from APIs or it is a tool associated issue.
Anyway, my question is if there is a way of regenerating the flash previews for all the nodes at Alfresco boot or something like that.
I noticed the same thing. I believe it is related to the content type not being set correctly due to a bug in Alfresco (not the bulk load utility). There is an issue posted for this problem. http://code.google.com/p/alfresco-bulk-filesystem-import/
If you edit the metadata for the document and set the mimetype correctly, the thumbnail and preview will generate. Change the it from octet to the appropriate type.
