Firefox - Login page twice before proceeding to dashboard

Hi,

We are using Community 3.3 and are having some problems regarding the login page on Firefox.

We use LDAP for our authentication, and the alfresco-global.properties shows:

authentication.chain=alfrescoNtlm1:alfrescoNtlm,ldap1:ldap‍

When a user tries to login with Firefox, they enter their LDAP details, hit Login, and are sent straight back to the login window, with no errors displayed. They can then either a) press login again, or b) hit refresh and be directed towards their dashboard.

In Safari, this problem does not exist and they are taken straight to their dashboard.

To check it wasn't something strange with failing on alfrescoNtlm, I turned on debug for authentication in log4j.properties:

However, this shows up in the logs after the request is made in both Safari and Firefox.

To be certain, I changed

authentication.chain=alfrescoNtlm1:alfrescoNtlm,ldap1:ldap‍

To

authentication.chain=ldap1:ldap‍

and still no joy, Firefox users are still sent back to the login page.

I've hunted around and tried to find other's with a similar issue, the closest was a localisation issue which we are not implementing.

Any suggestions?

Can someone perhaps suggest where I should be looking for the cause of the problem?
