Feature request : aspect propagation through subspaces

Consider this use case.
Say you have a space with subspaces and documents inside.
You recall that you forgot to make a branch (of spaces) versionnable. After all, this is what you want to use your cms for. So you add the versionnable aspect to the higher space of your branch and check the 'apply to subspaces'  (or something) checkbox.

Inspecting the properties of an existing document, you see it is not versionnable.


It would be great if a checkbox existed so that it could apply the aspect/rule to all existing documents.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

This is something we have talked about doing, it certainly would be useful.

Perhaps you'd like to raise it as an improvement to the rule/action framework in Jira (http://www.alfresco.org/jira).  Then we can try and get into the next release cycle.

Just to let you know, there is already a JIRA task for this: http://www.alfresco.org/jira/browse/AWC-14 so as Roy says is definitely something we'll be doing.
