Extract html from a url as content

How can i extract the html content of a url as content?

So if I create a content page in my space, I have two choices for the type - plain text  & html. But the actual content I want is for it to dynamically acquire the html from a third party url

I'm guessing Alfresco can't do this then…

That is correct, there is no support for a URL object. It's been on the task list since Alfresco 1.1, but it never gets high enough in the priority list…
