External form rendering techniques

I want to implement external form rendering using my own UI technology, I have one form that is gonna to be propagated through the different steps in the process, what is the best approach when it comes to saving the form data ?? (e.g. process variables ? etc)

The approach you have to follow is that
1) You have to develop your own task inbox which displays all the tasks based on the user who has logged in.
2) You have to develop your process specific UI's based on your requirement.

And coming to saving the form data, you can send the Map(String, Object) while completing the task which takes care of saving it.
