Extending the dir.root in 1.4 Enterprise

Alf,

Small question. I'm upgrading to 1.4 Enterprise (from 1.3.2 Enterprise) and changed the custom-repository.properties file in the extension folder accordingly:
#
# Sample custom content and index data location
#
dir.root=/data/alf_data
When I restart Alfresco I keep getting the following error message:
11:49:48,875 WARN  [org.alfresco.repo.admin.ConfigurationChecker] The Alfresco 'dir.root' property is set to a relative path './alf_data'.  'dir.root' should be overridden to point to a specific folder.
11:49:48,875 INFO  [org.alfresco.repo.admin.ConfigurationChecker] The Alfresco root data directory ('dir.root') is: ./alf_data
Is there some other reference I should change?

Hi Simon

This means that there must be another extension file that is overriding the value as well and setting it back to ./alf_data - or - there isn't a xxxx-context.xml file that references the custom-repositories.properties (e.g. custom-repository-context.xml).

I'd guess the 2nd option is the most likely.  Again, for upgrading, I'd just take the WAR bundle and add into an existing installation (unless explicitly advised not for a specific upgrade).  You can always upgrade any of the components individually (OpenOffice, Tomcat, JBoss, JDK).

Cheers
Paul.

Indeed, I didn't activate the custom-repository-context.xml file… sorry to bother you with this. Thanks!
