Hi everybody,

I use a web form to publish different news of my portal. Each news is a file generated with de form.If I delete a published news generated trhu this web form I can´t no longer regenerate renditions for this web form because alfresco tries to regenerate the deleted content and stops regenerating. Is there any solution?

Thanks

Tonizz:

If you delete a rendition, the source XML will also be deleted as well.

If you do not submit the deletion, however, and commit to Staging, our Lucene index is *not* updated.  That index is used to determine what to regenerated.  So, if you delete something and do not submit, the search will return your deleted item as something to regenerate, but when it tries to will find that you've a modified, deleted version in your sandbox.  I think that that is the result of your error.

How to resolve?  When you delete something, submit it.  Then, regenerate should work A-OK.

Hi kevin,

Is there any kind of special deletion?

Because when I remove some file, whether it´s created or not thru a web form I dont have the option to submit a deletion.

(I delete the contents clicking directly on the bin)

Thanks a lot for your replies!

If you delete an asset, it will appear on your Modified Items list.  From their, you will see that the deletion needs to be committed to Staging.  Deletions also go through workflow as well.
