error displaying folder spaces (kofax release script)

Hi, I have downloaded from the partner website the beta version of the kofax release. It installed fine, however in the set-up of the release script, it apparently manages to connect to the repository alfresco but then displays the following error:

"Error displaying folder spaces  at KofaxAlfrescoReleas_v1.frmAlfrescoSetUp.displayLocationTree(String selectedUuid) at KofaxAlfrescoReleas_v1.frmAlfrescoSetUp.btnConnect_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)"

Does anyone knows the possible source of the problem or where to find teh sources and or some documentation?

Cheers
Mathieu

P.S.: This is with Kofax Ascent Capture 7.0 with SP3, .Net framework 2.0 and MS WSE 3.0 are installed. Ac is installed as a standalone and not as client/server.

Hello,

After a lot of searching finally got hold of the code: Check out the SVN under Kofax. Follow the instructions in the Wiki for checking out from svn.
good luck!  😎

Hi,

I had the same problem running the following configuration:

Windows XP Professional (NL)
Kofax Ascent Capture 7.5 (standalone)
Kofax Ascent Capture SP2
Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0
WSE 2.0 SP3
Alfresco Community 2.0 (Windows, installed on the same machine)

According to the prerequisites of the release script (V1.0) WSE 2.0 SP3 was required. When I upgraded to WSE 3.0 the problem disappeared. We tested this on two different Ascent Capture installations. Each time with the same result.

You indicate that you were already running WSE 3.0, so perhaps this has to do with Ascent Capture 7.0. My advice, try upgrading to Ascent Capture 7.5 if possible.

Actually I was running WSE 2.0 SP3… After changing to WSE 3.0 it worked indeed. Apparently the prerequesites are wrong.

I told Aardenringcroft about this. They'll be changing the prerequisites.

Yes. WSE 3 is required. Infact that has always been the requirement. It must have been mistakenly altered as the details were passed along.

Now, could anyone be so nice to post the download-location for the actual script to forum or wiki or is it not generally available and or only available through SVN?

Thnx for support in this matter..  :?:

Peter

@sophie:

checkout the wiki for this document:  http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Source_Code

When you have downloaded the svn code you find the .inf file for the script somewhere under ..\projects\imaging\kofax\binaries
You import the .inf-file from within Ascent Capture and off you go :0)
Make sure you meet the prerequisites as mentioned in this thread.
