error creating site

users get this error when trying to create site:
01100014 Wrapped Exception (with status template): 01100013 Failed to execute script '/org/alfresco/repository/site/sites.post.json.js (in classpath store file:C:/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/protean/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/templates/webscripts)': 01100012 Access Denied. You do not have the appropriate permissions to perform this operation.

i was creating sites before without any issues. how do i solve this?

i have also noticed the admin can create sites, but other users cannot. how comes this happens "all of a sudden"?

Did you manually change any permissions on the Sites space via the Explorer (/alfresco) web client?

yes i did, i disabled Inherit Parent Space Permissions. but even after enabling it again, i get the same error. is that why the error appears? how do i solve it.

Make sure the "Everyone" group has the Contributor role.

i have done that. and yes user can create site. thankyou. the issue is that users can be able to view discussions even on other users sites(by browsing sites) when they have not been invited. how do i prevent users from browsing other users sites(using web explorer)?

Create the Sites as "private" instead of "public"
