Error adding user to group

Created a group called "Förbundsstyrelsen" and then tried to click on "Add user" and got this error. Maybe group names must be only characters A-Z and 0-9…?

Any ideas? A bug?

Clicking on just the group to show its members renders a smaller error with this line:

A system error happened during the operation: An authority was not found for GROUP_Förbundsstyrelsen

This does look like a bug. I managed to reproduce your error:

- Create a group "Förbundsstyrelsen" while logged in in English worked fine.
- Delete this group while logged in in French gave me the same exception as you mentioned.

In more detail:

When deleting, the group authority node is searched for using type and name, but the name is now "GROUP_F÷rbundsstyrelsen" instead of "GROUP_Förbundsstyrelsen". The search fails, and the exception is thrown.

This does look like a bug. I managed to reproduce your error:

I confirmed that Bug, but you do not need to use non ASCII character. I tried with 'Testeurs' and 'deuxieme' (well, perhaps is it non English words that are not accepted 🙂

When you are login with the English interface, you can manage groups, but not from another language (I tried French and Spanish).

Now that a bug has been identified, how do we report it to Alfresco team ? Is describing them in Forum enough ?

well known bug, fixed in SVN, and available in a future enterprise patch

Ok, if I want to have that bug fixed in my system (Community release) I can get it from the SVN?

Since I have not done that before…any directions to point how I do that and what particular file I should be looking for?
