Email SMTP proxy

Hi,

I want to configure email notification in the alfresco custom workflow. I have already developed the workflow and it is working fine but the server on which the alfresco is installed does not have internet connection. The server is in LAN environment and another server in the LAN has internet connection. so I want to set proxy for the alfresco server so that I can send mail from the alfresco.

I have updated the alfresco-global.properties for SMTP but it is not working because it is not able to connect the SMTP server.

please help me to configure proxy
