Email Configuration Problems

Hi

I tried to follow the instructions on http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/E-mail_Configuration to setup the email (Its a gmail account that i'm setting up to test). I have found the file repository.properties under C:\Alfresco\tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco. The problem is that i couldn't find any section inside with email settings.

However i have found a file called OutboundSMTP.properties under C:\Alfresco\tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\subsystems\email\OutboundSMTP, so I chnaged this file using the GMAIL example on the above wiki.

After restarting Alfresco the system is not able to connect to the smtp account.

Whats wrong ? Should I add a new section into the repository.properties or it correct what I did, in wich case what is wrong in the given example ?

Add your configuration to your alfresco-global.properties files.

Then look in your alfresco.log and post any errors you find there.

I activate the startup message for testing the SMTP server and the system is able on startup to send correctly messages to my GMAIL account, but when i try to invite a person it gives an error and its not able to send the invitation.

Any Ideias ?
