eCopy and Kofax?

Dear all,

I am researching Scanning n OCR solution for a company which is using Alfresco now.

There is a question i need to know. Is it any Scanning and OCR software can integrated with Alfrsco easily? or only eCopy and Kofax solution able to do this?

I need this answer very much because the due date is near.

i'm trying intelliant ocr but from cmd.exe I get following error:

C:\Programmi\Intelliant OCR>ocr.exe re.tif
OCR progress: page 0/1
Error: Image resolution is inferior to 100 dpi.

Exception of unknown type!

with a following properties image:
Width: 720 pixel
Height: 348 pixel
Oriz resolution: 100 dpi
Vert resolution: 100 dpi

Can you help me to understand that error? I'm newbie

Your image is in 100 dpi. But the error message :

Error: Image resolution is inferior to 100 dpi.‍

Perhaps it's a wrong error message, perhaps the software is not able to process a tiff in 100 dpi or less…

Have you tried wiht a Tif in 200 or 300 dpi ?

I did, but I forgot to update this post because I was dealing with another issue (you can read it here http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=23234 ,  if you can help).

I tested with a resolution greater then 100dpi and it works. Thanks again for support!

I have an extra question. I am dealing with multiple scientific pdf documents in different languages (chinese, russian, german, dutch, english etc)
Would it be possible to scan those with any of the OCR mentioned above? If possible I would like to send the text to a translator api to get an english text back.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to integrate intelliant with alfresco. It works fine in cmd, but not on Alfresco.
I copied ocr-transformers-context and web-client-config-custom.xml from http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Tiger_OCR_integration to my extension folder. What should I do now with these two files to to have my rule "tif to pdf" working?
Help me, please.

I am afraid that I don't have related experience on such kinds of plug-ins towards Alfresco, however I am interested in the <a style="text-decoration:none;color:#000000" href="http://www.businessrefinery.com/products/barcode_reader_java/main.html">java barcode reader</a> recently, this topic aroused my curiosity and I think I gained a lot from the discussions here.
