Eclipse Slows Down [Resolved]

Hi,

I'm trying to create a simple workflow with activiti. To do so, I'm using Eclipse and I installed Activiti plugin with "http://activiti.org/designer/update/". No problem with the installation.

I created a workflow StartEvent -> UserTask 1 -> EndEvent.
When I double click on mySimpleWorkflow.bpmn20.xml Eclipse stops running (freeze)! I wait for 1 minutes, and it goes again fine. When a .bpmn20.xml is opened, everytime I click on button in Eclipse, my program slows down. My CPU and memory are not overloaded.

I'm on Windows 7 64bit.

I tried Eclipse 3.6.1 classic, Eclipse 3.6.2 classic, Eclipse 3.7.2 Classic, Eclipse 3.7.2 jee, same error.
I also tried with activiti-designer-5.8.1.zip installation, same issue.

Please, can you help me to make it work?

Hi,

This is an issue with the current XML handling in the Activiti Designer. It's solved on trunk and a new version (5.9) will be released very soon.
For the time being you can right-click on the bpmn20.xml file and open it with the text editor for example.

Best regards,

Hi,

Thank you for your answer and your responsiveness.
I'll let you know after testing the solution with the v5.9. My workaround is to use Ubuntu on a virtual machine.

Hi,

I've just tested Activiti 5.9. Problem is now resolved.
One file = no synchronizing, and no more slowness.

Thank you
