Eclipse plugin without design mode

I'f installed Eclipse Classic Helios 3.61 as described and afterwards the Activiti BPMN 2.0 designer without problems. Checkbox "Contact all updates sites" was not checked.

Problem: After opening the bpmn20.xml files form the explorer I can only see the xml-code and a table-like version in the design view.

How I can get the process diagrams?

It was right - the xml-file was opened with the Activiti BPMN Editor. If I try to open the file with the Activiti Diagram Editor I get the following error:

"Could not open the editor: An exception was thrown during initialization"

Yep,

you shouldn't open the bpmn20.xml files with the diagram editor - that's meant for the .activiti files. From the .activiti files, you can generate the .bpmn20.xml files. Those you can then open with the BPMN editor, which has context support for editing BPMN.

Thanks for the advise.

I suspected its possible to open xml files as diagram respectively generate diagrams from xml-files.

Now it works with new activiti projects and new activiti diagrams.

How is this done?  How do you take your xml file and generate a diagram with the editor?   When we make xml changes, the diagram is not updated..

Thanks,
