Duplicate content problem

How do I disable duplicate content in the same space? 

I'm currently using v1.3 and I'm able to copy content into the same space with the same name multiple times.  I don't want to want to overwrite the content in the space not duplicate it.

Any idea?

[ps]

we are facing the same problem. and wanted to find out if anyone has any suggestions.
