Does alfresco email sending works with a secured smtp server

My question is :
is it possible to use email notification with a secured email server like lotus because when i send an email it is like the sender is alfreco@alfresco.org so that the mail is rejected by the server ???

You can change the from address in the client configuration, see http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Simple_Customisations#From_Email_Address
