Document transformation error--need help

I am using the following code to transform pdf files to txt files but get
error in transformation (version 3.4.d).

There is type error while transforming. Am I to typecast 'docnode' before using 'docnode.transformdocument()' function.

can you post the error you are getting?
Also you need to save the document after that change by newtxtNode.save();

While the above error log says that function transformdocument cannot be found, yet
when I take the text transformation code out of loop and apply to each node through
Alfresco Explorer GUI, it works. I apply the following code for each document
in Drafts folder (using Run Action->Execute Script->scriptname.js )

ver newtxtNode = document.transformdocument("text/plain") ;

Somehow I am forced to conclude that there is some difference in the behaviour/nature/type of 'document' in this simple
code and 'docnode' in the earlier loop-code.

Is there any other way to execute transform document for all files in folder, ie other than use
transformdocument function?

Ohh yes its case sensitivity API is "transformDocument" where as you have written transformdocument
