Discussion Security

Hi Guys,

Is there any way to implement acl like security against a discussion topic.  Currently each discussion topic and its threads are visible to everyone who is a member of the site.  I would like the ability to limit this based on a set of users but not sure where to start.

Hello,

discussions and individual replies are nodes like anything else and can be ACL-controlled. The problem only is, that the Share UI does not include the actions to actually manage those. But if you customized the UI and added such an action in there, you could easily restrict visibility of replies, entire threads or topics.
