Discussion for every file and space

One more question

I have the following problem:

We use Alfresco (2.0) for a knowlegdebase with a lot of studies, presentation etc. For our costomers it should be possible to start a discussion on every file and space without having the right to edit, delete etc. the file/space. I know that I can add a discussion with the admin user and modify the details/add users with the right to add topics. But this is a kind of inconvenient, if I want to add a dicussion to hundreds of files. I neither did find a rule to solve the problem.

Does anybody has a solution?

You shouldn't need to use the admin user to allow discussions. A user needs the 'Collaborator' role to start a discussion.

So you could set permissions for your users on a top level space, this would then get inherited down the tree. Or create a group and assign the role to the group and add the users you want to be able to start dicsussions to the group.
