Discussion emails

I'm trying to figure out how to send emails to a specific user when a new discussion is started or updated.  Kinda like a ticket system, but not full.  i just want someone to be able to contact support if there is a problem with our project.  I tried manage rules but its not quite what i was looking for

Hello,

since discussions are modelled as forum posts internally, you could use type-bound behaviours for this.
