Different applications in Alfresco

Hi,

I'm hoping some of you can tell us how you build different applications on top of an Alfresco repository in an enterprise environment.

Currently we have about 3 applications (one in the main Alfresco interface and 2 websites with Freemarker on top of the repository). We work with forward URL's to protected spaces for access to this applications but this isn't the best solution.

Sometimes this method doesn't really work out, a user ends up in Alfresco while he should be on our website or vica versa. The back button acts strange and when you try to logout you are not really logged out (the sessions still hangs there somewhere).

So how do you guys solve this?

Can you rephrase / re-state you question – i'm not sure how others are doing, but I am having a hard time figuring out if I can help answer?  What do you mean in an enterprise environment? Do you mean in an environment with high availability?  More importantly, what type of application are you building?

The back button always acts weird in JSF – frankly, JSF breaks the internet.  I am not sure that you are running in to any JSF related back button nonsense – i was just venting

Alfresco runs the http://www.alfresco.com on Alfresco – you can see how its done by downloading the source code.  Is there any simularity in the functionality between your app and the alfresco site?
