Desktop client setup

Hello everybody,

I have a newbie question. I search around and couldn't find a guide to configure a desktop client with an Alfresco server. I have read about CIFS and Jlan, but don't know where to start.

What I need is to configure a folder in my desktop that will match my home folder account in alfresco. (Like a dropbox functionality)

Any suggestions where to start?

1. Open <ALFRESCO_HOME>/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global.propeties
2. Type

### CIFS/SMB Server Configuration ###
cifs.enabled=true
cifs.serverName="alfresco"
cifs.hostannounce=true

3. Restart Alfresco
4. On your client OS(Windows) - Map newtwork drive - type path =  \\<ALFRESCO_IP>\Alfresco\<YOUR_FOLDER_IN_ALFRESCO>
5. Add network drive shotcut to desktop, change name, icon. Dropbox ready.
