Default login/password to Share won't work on fresh install

Hi guys;

We've recently been trialling Alfresco Labs/Community 3.3g in our business and it's been excellent - we tried installing 3.4d on both a fresh system and on the same system as 3.3 and we get the same result:  Share won't let us log in.

We've tried admin/admin, admin/the password we set when asked by the installer, the mysql database login/password… all the documentation we can find says it should be admin/admin yet this just doesn't seem to work.  Any advice?  Should I try another version of 3.4?

Thanks;

Jim

Check the logs. Strongly suspect, Alfresco did not start up correctly.

Thanks for the feedback - I tried again on the computer with the existing install but this time deleted the old Alfresco database in mysql and it worked.  I'm at a loss as to why it was happening on a fresh install but it may not have been as fresh as I thought… I'm now not sure someone didn't already try it.  Anyway, this seems to be solved. Edit:  Will check the logs next time too, didn't think of that. Smiley Frustrated
