Database view not showing contents (after update 5.8 to 5.9)

Environment: Debian VM, Tomcat, PostgreSQL 8.4

I noticed that after updating from Activiti 5.8 to 5.9 the "database-view" in the Activiti Explorer will not display the contents of tables. It will however display the number of entries…

Has anyone else noticed this? / Any suggestions on how to fix this?
