Data filter for my custom datalist

Hello Alfrescians,

I'm using Alfresco quite some time now, and I've been searching for a way to put a filter option to my custom datalist, I want that each field in my datalist has a filter function so that searching data will be easier. I know that this is possible because I have read some plug-ins that worked but only to older versions, Is there an article that you can recommend in implementing this? I'm using Alfresco Community 5.1 Edition.

The "old addon" you are referring to might be the fme datalist extension. Another member of the community, Andreas Steffen, has taken that addon and adapted it to Alfresco 5.0. The differences between 5.0 and 5.1 may be small enough that this also works in 5.1, otherwise you might report issues with Andreas and maybe work together on making the necessary adaptions. The addon is maintained in a GitHub repository.

I tried it and it works, but it only works for Alfresco predefined datalists, is there a way that my custom datalist be part of this add-on?

I manage to find a way to implement Alvex datalist filter for custom made datalist in Alfresco. I have also encountered a new problem, all the searching is a failure, It prompts "091231400 Wrapped Exception (with status template): 0912129747 Failed to execute script 'classpath*:alfresco/extension/templates/webscripts/alvex/datalists/datalist-search.post.json.js': 0912129746 Failed to execute search: +PARENT:"workspace://SpacesStore/c2594c5a-5702-426a-ad67-c4859f60cab1" +@dl\:issueDueDate:[2016\-10\-12T00:00:00 TO 2016\-10\-12T23:59:59] ", have you encountered this kind of error?

No, I haven't found that problem.

I have just delivered a new project composed of custom datalists and data grid addon, and everything is working ok.

Have you got the updated source code and packaged the addon by yourself?

Hi Douglas,

I did download the updated source code and packaged the addon, I just found out that my solr index in broken and I need to do re-indexing, maybe its affecting the add-on, what do you think?

I will update you as soon as I fix my solr index and retry the datagrid addon installation.

Hello Douglas,

My Solr is now fixed and the datalist filter now works for the predefined datalist in Alfresco. Meanwhile in my custom datalist (I did not do any modification), only the fields that contains 'd:text' format works in filtering, others (d:long and d:int) give 0 results in filtering.
