customizing the alfresco explorer UI

Hi team,
I want to change the complete look and feel of Alfresco.
Suppose, i want to display the left side windows (which contains My Home, company home, my alfresco, Guest home, etc) to the right hand side and i want to display the top tool bar (which contains company home,my home, guest home and My Alfresco) to the bottom of the page.
I want to move the place of search engine from right to left side of the page.

Is it possible to do? can anyone guide me to changing the view like this. And what files i need to change for this.

I will strongly recommend not to change the UI that way, because of the JSF structure of the many jsp.
Either you keep it the way it is, or you can build webscripts and templates in order to build your own custom UI (like docasu, flexspaces etc …)

Hi jay,
Building the complete UI will take too much time.
And that too they are using webscripts instead of jsps to do.
If we start building our own UI, we need to start from scratch like workspace,search engine, opensearch, workflows,…etc.
It will take most of time,
So is there any other way to customize the UI.
Or is there any tutorials on building custom UI for alfresco.
The wiki explaing some sample webscripts only.

Hi i'm just downloaded the docasu and using it.
But here i didn't find the option for workflows?
Does docasu UI supports workflows?

Hi community,
If i changing the main webscript file (i.e the main UI file which displays all the spaces and creating folder/deleting folder options ) then i can get what i want.
Am i right ? can anyone tell me the main webscript/ftl  file which displays all the spaces list and documents?

IS it a right way? If i start to develop the new UI from scratch it is killing my time like anything and becomes heavy to get all the features which the explorer provides.

Any suggessionsion this?

fyi FlexSpaces has workflow features (start workflow, task list tab view) and coverage of most explorer features (except more admin tasks such as rules admin)
