Custom Workspace Store

Hi,

How can I create custom stores of type workspace? I could not find any documentation on creating custom stores other than the WebService sample. Can this be done through configuration changes?

I believe the lucene indexes will also be created separately for the custom store. How does the search work with custom stores? Will Alfresco look into the custom stores as well while performing a search?

In the NodeService you can see there is API with the help of which you can create your custom store.
Alfresco should be able to search in that store as while searching we are explicitly passing the store name.
Let us know what is the result

As I understand it, the query API will search a single store, but not across stores.

IF you closely look to the searchservice there is one API query where you can pass the searchparameter object.
and in that object you can add multiple stores.
But as per the description of API it currently support only one store multiple store search support is in their to do list.
I am not sure if it is available in the latest versions
