custom web form widget

Hello,
i have got a question. I need to create a new custom widget to use it over web-form(for example a select list , tha is visible from html text area of web form).
How can i build a new widget(like select list)?
Where can i found a good documentation about this topic?.

I read , in some article, that i'd work with a file xforms.js. But the question is, how i'd to work with it to create my widget then to use it in webform's html text area ?

I think if you want it to work in the HTML text area you need to get/write a TinyMCE plugin.
