Custom Task Types

Here's a question for the Designer team:

1. Is the service task the only custom task that I can create? What we are actually looking to do is to pass metadata from Designer to user tasks. Thus we could configure that user task based on that metadata.

Yes, you can only create custom service tasks. You can make them look like an even or a gateway if you wish, though.
