Custom Action Question

Hi all,

I'm very new to Alfresco and everything related to it.
I managed to create a new action in the "More Actions" menu, by following the example in http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Externalised_Client_Actions. But from what I understood you have to define the action in Javascript.
My question is….Is it possible to add a menu item like this but when the user click on it, do something defined on a Java Document, for example like the one in http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Custom_Actions

Thanks in advance
André

Yes, you absolutely can.  Let me suggest you pick up a copy of "Alfresco Developer Guide" by Jeff Potts.  He goes over this in chapter 5  Smiley Very Happy

If you are going to be doing development in alfresco, I think it is a must have…
The api reference and examples alone is worth the price of admission
