Creating a Site with Share

Hi,

I have installed a fresh Alfresco on my Debian Lenny VS. Seems to work, but when I try to create a site in share, nothing happens.

A popup opens, where I can type in Name, URL Name and Description. After clicking on the button ok the popup closes and immediately reappears again.

Does anyone knows this Problem?

Hi,

It would very difficult to guess/tell what the problem is, I think it's better if you check your log file, i am sure it throws some errors there, you can check that it, and if you are unable to fix, then send it, i am sure we'll be able to assist.
In-short send us the log file.

I`m not sure, wich is the right logfile for this problem.

In /opt/alfresco I've found two in the tomcat folder (localhost.2011.xx.log and catalina.2011.xx.log) and a derby.log in the main folder.

Which one do you need?

I have uploaded the files on an other server, so that you can download them.

The problem still exists…

Are there any other logfiles i should post? Has anybody a little hint for solving my problem?

Your "localhost…." log file is showing up a bunch of SEVERE errors. Could be install issue in Alfresco. Your database seems to be up and running. Try reviewing the "catalina.log" file, not the ones that have any dates. That is usually the log file that has the most current set of events log.

I too i am facing same problem. when i am trying to create a new site the pop-up opens and once i enter the details for name, description, url etc., and click on OK the pop-up closes and nothing happens and when i checked the site list i dont have the site i created.

I also checked for the log file i dont find any log file as it used to be in the alfresco 3.3 or 3.2. Plz anyone tell me where do i get the log files in case of alfresco3.4
