Could 2 Alfresco servers point to the same database?

I have deployed alfresco on SunOs with tomcat, oracle, At the mean time I also trying to deploy it on linux box with tomcat and point to the same database, I got CONTENT INTEGRITY ERROR, I am wondering that 2 alfresco instance may not be able to point to the same database.

on our deployment env, we will need alfresco cluster, and there is no shared storage among the servers, which means the servers in cluster will have their own file store. would it possible those server share the same database, how would their sync to each other.

Thanks

You need to share the same content store and database schema in all nodes in a cluster. Its usually done with a shared filesystem protocol like NFS however you can use something like rsync for some scenarios.

Conversely if you have two separate content stores then you need two separate database schemas (which could be in the same database server) but then you have two separate instances of Alfresco.
