The content store location is configured in the file tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global.properties:

#
# Sample custom content and index data location
#————-
dir.root=/opt/Alfresco/alf_data

The property dir.root should be set to the location where you put your contentstore directories.

As for permissions, this could be set in the Alfresco Explorer interface (the alfresco web application). Locate the document you want to set permissions for, click on the View Details button. In the details page, click on Manage Space Users, in the right-hand menu. Then click Invite in the upper right corner and follow the wizard. Please be advised that the user permissions are normally inherited from parent folders, so you might need to change permissions for the containing folder as well.

Dear gronfelt,

Thanks for your reply.

Access rights functionality is working fine.
For changing content store, I changed property to d:\alf_data,
After changing property when I restarted tomcat, some exception are coming.

You also need to copy the contents of your "alf-data" folder.

3.2.0E has a content store selector that  (I think  :mrgreen: ) will allow you to change the physical location of your content.

Until then you will need to use your OS or some other utility to give some sort of virtual filesystem, you can only have one dir root.
